Black Smokey Eyes Tutorial

Hi, All...

Since I learn how to makeup properly, I never like black smokey eyes. To be honest, I like it actually, but I always failed to applying the eyeshadow well.

The key of making the smokey eyes especially for bold color like black or purple is blend. You must blend, blend and blend, and don't make any harsh color or you will end up like someone punch right on your eye hole (which is happening to me!).

But, I improve my skill for blending the eyeshadow and watching all beauty guru in youtube tutorial and I think it's work now. So, I want to share this tutorial for all of you guys.

1. Start with clean face

2. Prime your eyelid, here I use my concealer as a base and applied brown matte eyeshadow all over my lids. The purpose are for make your eyes more depth and also as a transition color.

3. Next, used black eyeshadow base, here I used NYX but you can also use your eyeliner gel; on your outer v of your eyes and blend well. It's easier if you use crease brush and end up with blending brush toward the crease.

4. Apply a tiny amount of black eyeshadow on outer V and blend up to cut crease. Take time for blending. The best result for blending is back to back using blending brush and crease brush. Blend and blend and give a little space on the center of lid to be blank and save for leter. Feel free to add some black eyeshadow little by little for build up the color and don't forget to smudge the color outside.

5. Remember the center of the lid which I told before? It's time to fill it, here I fill with shimmery grey with 'pat' motion, try to focus only the center of lid and after that, blend the color with the edges.

6. After that, bring the black color to the bottom waterline using creasing brush.

7. Using your favorite eyebrow pencil, frame your eyebrow. Here I used the famous Viva Eyebrow Pencil in brown shade. Fill the brow and blend with spoil brush until you feel satisfied with the shape and color.

8. Highlight the above and under brow bone with white eyeshadow or you can used the concealer and blend it to divine the shape the eyebrow and also pop up your smokey eyes.

9. Apply your eyeliner, I used black eyeliner pencil and double up with the liquid one, to avoid the smudging.

10. Curl the lashes and apply mascara, then finished up with fake lashes, viola, finished the eye makeup.

11. After finishe the complexion, I using concealer to highlight the under eye area, center of my forehead, and my chin, and blend it out. The rest, it just apply the blush on and the nude lipstick.

12. Finish look!

What do you think? I believe that I still lack of makeup skill, but I never quit for learning, I'm quite happy to share everything that I get with trial and error by myself.

Regards and Love,
F.
